Chilly, plenty of cloud in the north and east, fair for Scotland

A cold day ahead again with the northeast breeze bringing cloud and some showers in the east. The best sunshine this morning in western Scotland as well as through northern and western parts of Ireland.

This afternoon stays pretty cloudy for many areas, but especially in central and eastern areas with some spots of rain and showers. Brighter in Ireland and western parts of Scotland, a few sunny spells in southern England.

Overnight there will be cloud in the east with a few showers. fair in the west with some clear spells. Frost in Scotland and the far south of England.
