Storm force winds at first easing
Good morning,
Gale force winds, even strong gale force in eastern Scotland and NE England, first thing and outbreaks of rain ease back across Scotland and northern England.
Showers to follow across north and west Scotland, otherwise it will be a dry day with sunny spells through Scotland. Rather cloudy in other areas with an odd spots of light rain and drizzle pushing southwards across England and Wales. Northern Ireland seeing outbreaks of rain by late afternoon.
Rain spreads eastwards across Northern Ireland, northern England and into southern and central Scotland overnight sinking down through central into southern England and Wales by early Saturday morning. Possible sleet and snow over the higher ground across Scotland. Largely dry elsewhere. Lows dropping to a chilly 0 to 3C across Scotland, a milder 6 to 11C elsewhere.
