Thursday
A cold front clearing southern England on Thursday morning taking cloud and a few spots of rain with it. Brighter weather follows for most areas with sunny spells and broken cloud. Windy for Scotland and Northern Ireland where showers are expected, some heavy perhaps frequent and over higher ground will be wintry across western areas, giving the risk of also thunder and hail. Temperatures at a cooler 4C in northern Scotland, 8 and 9C in southern England.


Thursday Night
Frost, mist and fog will develop again across southern England into parts of Wales. A dry night for most though cloudier skies with outbreaks of rain across north and west Scotland with patchy rain through Northern Ireland and Ireland. Lows o to -2C across southern England and south Wales, 2 to 5C elsewhere.
 


Friday
High pressure stays south on Friday. After a frosty and foggy start across southern England it will be a dry and fine day with sunny spells. More cloud generally across more of the country today with outbreaks of rain across western Scotland. Patchy light rain and drizzle affecting western coasts and hills elsewhere. Windy in the north with gales in the northwest. Highs at 7 to 11C.


Saturday
High pressure remains in control on Saturday situated over southern England. Mist and fog patches are to be expected first thing across southern England and Wales. These should lift to sunshine. A risk of a few spots of drizzle in western Scotland where it will be breezy. Fair for other areas in the north with sunny spells. Highs at 8 to 11C.
