Mild end to week

Thursday
A warm front lifts and clears from the south of Scotland on Thursday though expected to stay wet with outbreaks of rain across northern Scotland throughout the day with gale force winds. On a brisk and blustery wind elsewhere across the country with a few scattered showers about, mostly affecting western coasts and hills, though most will stay dry. Best of any sunny spells across England and Wales. Highs above average at 9 to 11C.


Thursday Night
Rain gradually clears from northern Scotland overnight with more patchy rain moving in across Northern Ireland and the Western Isles during the early hours. Some rain first thing affecting NW England and north Wales but mostly dry elsewhere. A mild night with plenty of cloud though clear spells are expected in the south. Staying mild for most with lows at 6 to 10C.
 


Friday
A cloudy morning on Friday for many with patchy rain in the north soon clearing to allow for a drier and brighter afternoon with developing sunny spells. Always dry further south with the best of the sunshine here. A mild day again with highs at 10 to 12C.

 
 
 


Saturday
A dry start for most on Saturday. Cloud will build from the west with outbreaks of rain pushing across northern and western areas as the day progresses, turning light and patchy the further east it pushes. Much of central and southern England will remain dry and relatively mild. Highs at 9 to 12C.
