Wednesday
A cold front is going to be moving east through England on Wednesday morning taking an area of showery rain with it. Brighter weather follows from the north and west with some showers too. Most showers will be across Ireland and Scotland as well as western coasts and hills of England and Wales. Turning colder through the day as the brighter weather arrives. Highs at 6 to 8C in northern and western areas, but 9 to 11C in the east and south.


Wednesday Night
Showery rain gradually clears south and east England through the night with clear skies following. More cloud pushes in across the far west with showers, these merging into longer spells of rain, across north and northwest Scotland. Lows dropping back to zero or below across the north and west, 2 to 6C further south and east.
 


Thursday
High pressure sits to the west of Ireland ridging in across much of the country on Thursday. After a frosty start for some in the north cloud will soon push in with outbreaks of rain moving east across Scotland and later over Northern Ireland, some snow towards higher ground. A few scattered showers throughout Ireland, northern England into Wales with cloud thickening here though many will remain dry. Dry with the best of the lasting sunshine across southern England. Highs at 6 to 9C.


Friday
Low pressure remains in the North Sea with high pressure just to the west of Ireland on Friday. Some showers perhaps centrally and in the east, these likely to be wintry over the higher ground of Scotland. Some sunny spells too, the best of them in the west and south. Temperatures around 7 to 10C.
