Morning Call - May 18, 2019
Wet in Scotland
Showery elsewhere

Issued: 0530hrs Saturday 18th May 2019
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

It will be a rather wet day for Scotland while there is a chance of showers developing elsewhere.

Good morning,

It will be a cloudy start to the day for much of the UK and Ireland. A band of persistent rain affecting much of Scotland through the morning with showers affecting parts of England, Ireland and Wales. Dry to start in Northern Ireland.

Rain will spread from Scotland into eastern Northern Ireland through the afternoon but this will be light. Showers will continue over England, Ireland and Wales and these could be thundery in nature in places. Rain easing from eastern parts of Scotland later in the afternoon. High temperatures widely reaching 14 to 17C for England, Ireland and Wales. Cooler in Scotland at just 10 to 14C.

Rain will ease over much of Scotland but will continue for some western areas into the evening. Showers easing elsewhere to leave a dry evening with good sunny spells for some.

Have a great day!
Claire
