Warmest in south

Good morning,

High pressure lies west of the British Isles today, whilst low pressure is over central Europe and Scandinavia.

A slack northerly pattern influences Britain, with a cool feel and a few areas of showers breaking out in central areas. These may become locally frequent over a few hours for the Midlands and perhaps Pennine areas.

There will be some sunshine, best around the coasts into the afternoon. Winds fairly light, but taking the edge off the temperatures.

Today's top temperatures reaching 16C in southern England, and 12 to 14C for central-northern areas. A little cooler around the coasts and in Highland Scotland.

Have a great day.
Garry
