A cold front sinks southeastward over Ireland and the UK today taking a band of, sometimes heavy, rain with it. Colder conditions follow behind this to the west with wintry showers for parts of Ireland and Scotland. A noticeably breezier day across the country.

Good Morning,

A wet morning for eastern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and western parts of England as a cold front sinks southeast across the country. A chance of some coastal gales here. Brighter to the west for western Ireland but there are likely to be showers developing here. Cloudy but dry for much of eastern England. Increasingly breezy across the country.

Rain sinks southeastward across the rest of England through the afternoon while brighter conditions follow elsewhere. Showers continue for western Ireland and spread to western Scotland where they will be wintry in nature. Strong winds continue to affect northwestern areas through the afternoon. A mostly dry but cloudy afternoon for Wale and northwest England. Highs reaching just 4C in the north, 10C to the south.

Rain is slow to clear the far southeast of England through this evening while another band of rain moves into western parts of Ireland. Sleet and snow showers continue for western Scotland but it stays dry through the evening for northwest England, eastern Scotland and Wales.

Have a great day!

Claire
