Morning Call - January 31, 2020
Windy
Rain northwest

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 31st January 2020
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

A breezy day across the country with gales for western coasts and hills. Outbreaks of rain spread eastward through the day, easing for most areas by evening. Staying wet to the northwest.

Good Morning,

A cloudy start to the day across much of the country with outbreaks of rain affecting southern and eastern Ireland, western and northern Scotland, Wales and northern England through the morning. The heaviest rain will be in the west and it will be breezy.

Western and northern parts of Scotland continue to see rain through the afternoon while rain eases over northern England, becoming increasingly showery and patchy as it sinks towards the southeast. A drier afternoon for much of Ireland and Wales though showers will affect western coasts and hills at times. Continuing breezy with coastal gales to the west.

Rain tends to ease for most areas apart from western Scotland through Friday evening but it stays rather cloudy. The best of any clear skies over eastern Scotland. Staying very windy to the west.

Have a great day!

Claire
