Severe gales, mild for all, rain and drizzle north and west

Good morning,

Rain across northern England and southern Scotland, a risk of some snow over the highest ground in these areas. Rain too in southwest England, but fair for much of Wales and the Midlands. Fair too in central and northern Scotland.
 

The rain extends through Wales, the Midlands and southern England this afternoon, some of it being heavy at times. Further periods of rain in northeast England and southeast Scotland, these slowly fading. Drier in northern Scotland, northern England and most of Ireland. Breezy in eastern parts of England with a risk of some rain and showers here overnight. This will fade and drier conditions spread from the north and west.
