Cool and showers, fewer showers this afternoon

Good morning,

Showers in much of England and Wales this morning with variable cloud. There will be some bright or sunny spells coming through, the best of days will be late in the morning and into the afternoon. Eastern and southern Scotland will be dry with some sunshine as will be much of eastern and southern Ireland. A chilly morning for all.

Gale force winds Will affect northern Scotland, showers in western areas and across western Ireland will be heavy. The shower is falling as snow other western Ireland. Little changes this afternoon with further showers in western Scotland although Ireland should become largely dry. Showers fighting from central and eastern England through this afternoon with broken cloud and a few bright spells.
