Morning Call - January 24, 2020
Mist & fog
Drizzly rain northwest

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 24th January 2020
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

A misty, murky day with lingering patches of mist and fog. Light outbreaks of drizzly rain for parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Good Morning,

The day starts on a mostly dry but murky note across the country. A weak front may bring patchy light rain or drizzle to Northern Ireland and southwest Scotland through the early part of the morning while patchy mist and fog is likely across southern Scotland, southern Ireland and much of England and Wales.

Mist and fog will be slow to clear and may not clear at all for some areas, lingering through the afternoon. Staying cloudy across the country with further light, drizzly rain developing for western parts of Scotland. Some brightness may develop over northeastern parts of England and Scotland. Feeling chilly in the murk with highs ranging from about 4 to 9C.

Remaining cloudy into Friday night with drizzly rain spreading eastward across the far north of Scotland. Staying dry elsewhere.

Have a great day!

Claire
