Monday
Low pressure in charge on Monday with showers and outbreaks of rain of rain for many. These will readily turn to sleet and snow over higher ground and to the north. Tending drier over eastern parts of England and Scotland. Strong winds for many - strongest to the west and south. Another cold day with high temperatures at 3°C in northern Scotland, 9°C in southeastern England.
 


Monday Night
Outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow continue overnight, these heaviest and most persistent to the west. Strong winds continue too for western and southern areas. The best of any clearer skies to the east. Overnight lows widely at -2 to 3°C, colder in rural areas, which will allow for frost and ice patches to form away from southeast England.
 


Tuesday
A colder day for all on Tuesday with low pressure north of Scotland. There will be a mix of showers, these falling as snow in Scotland, northern England, Wales and the north and west of Ireland, and sunny spells. More persistent snow may affect western and southern Scotland. Feeling cold in the wind with high temperatures at just 2 to 7°C.
 


Wednesday
Snow showers over northern and western Scotland as well as the hills of northwest England tend to fade through the morning before a band of heavier, more persistent rain arrives over northwest Ireland, Northern Ireland and much of Scotland. Tending to be dry and bright later across much of England, Ireland and Wales as well as northeast Scotland. Continuing chilly with highs at 4 to 8°C.
