Morning Call - March 02, 2021
Cold, cloudier east
Brighter in west

Issued: 0530hrs Tuesday 2nd March 2021
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Cloudy central and eastern areas, cold here too, drier and brighter west

Morning mist, fog patches and low cloud affecting central and eastern parts of the country through this morning. Frosty in northwest England and Scotland as well as parts of Wales, southwest England and Ireland. Brighter spells in western areas too. The cloud should break as the mist and fog patches lift.

This afternoon is likely to be bright in the west and also through central areas. Always the risk of some lower cloud on eastern coasts, making it feel cold here. Milder in the west.

This evening sees some showers arriving in southwest England, these drifting through southern Wales and into southern England during the night. Elsewhere it will be dry with clear spells and a widespread frost.
