Mainly dry
Best of the sun east

Issued: 0530hrs Monday 22nd March 2021
Duty forecaster: Claire Darbinyan

Another mainly dry day for the UK and Ireland with high pressure generally staying in control of our weather. Variable amounts of cloud around with the best of the sun to the east. Clodu is thicker to the west and northwest and may give a few spots of light rain or drizzle at times for western parts of Scotland and Ireland and the Northern Isles.

Good Morning,

A cool start to the day but generally dry for most with the best of any early sunshine expected to the southeast. Cloudier to the northwest with a few light spots of rain possible over western parts of Scotland this morning.

Continuing cloudy over western areas into the afternoon with the risk of the odd light spot of rain or drizzle here for western Scotland, the Northern Isles and for western parts of Ireland. A few isolated showers may affect northwestern hills of England and Wales. The best of the afternoon sun over eastern parts of England and Scotland.

Little change into Monday evening with the best of the late sun and clear skies over eastern England and Scotland. Staying cloudier to the west.

Have a good day!

Claire
