Generally dry
Patchy rain east

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 17th March 2021
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Spots of rain in the east but dry for the majority and feeling mild

Plenty of cloud over much of the country this morning. There will be a few bright or sunn spells, the highest chance of these over Wales and southwest England. Some spots of drizzle working their way into East Anglia and southeast England. Dry for other areas and feeling mild for all apart from over the coasts of East Anglia where the wind will be blowing in off the sea.

Spots of rain in East Anglia, southeast England and the eastern Midlands this afternoon, although these will be fading quickly. Bright for many throughout the afternoon with sunny intervals. Cloud again in the north and west.

Clearer spells overnight in much of England, Wales and southern Ireland, perhaps with a touch of frost in sheltered areas. Thicker cloud in northern and central Scotland.
