Dry for most, very warm with good spells of sunshine, rain in the northwest

Some broken cloud across southwestern parts of England and southern Wales this morning. For most of the rest of England and Wales the morning will be dry and fine with lots of sunshine. Cloudier skies in Scotland and over northwest Ireland, Rain in northwest Scotland, some of it heavy.

This afternoon sees the rain in northwest Scotland continuing, For other areas it should be dry with sunny spells. The best of the sunshine in northern England as well as across the far south of England. Feeling very warm in most areas, very warm in the southeast.

Tonight stays dry with broken cloud. Rain in northwest Scotland, some heavy. Rain too in the far west of Ireland. Dry in central and eastern Ireland.
