Staying unsettled, most rain in west, generally mild

Unsettled weather is set to continue through the coming week. Atlantic fronts will be bringing areas of cloud and rain with low pressure delivering strong winds. Most rain will be across more northern and western areas, less in the east and south. Overall it is going to be mild and perhaps even very mild on somedays across south eastern areas. There are early hints of an improvement at the end of the forecast period.

Sunday 21/2/21
A front remains through northern England, the Midlands, Wales and Southwest England on Sunday. This is going to bring more cloud and periods of rain some of them heavy at times. Drier with some bright spells across East Anglia and South East England, the possibility of some sunshine to. Dry and bright in central and eastern parts of Scotland as well as western Ireland. Cloudier in the east of Ireland. A few showers in western Scotland. Highs at 15C in southeast England, mainly 9 to 11C.


Monday 22/2/21
Monday is likely to be a drier day for many. There will be some bright or sunny spells. Always the risk of lower cloud and some mist affecting western coast and hills. Increasing winds across Ireland will bring rain into the evening. Tops at 9 to 12C.

 
 
 


Tuesday 23/2/21
Wet in Scotland and western parts of the UK as well as Ireland on Tuesday. It will be windy with a risk of gales in western areas too. Probably cloudy but drier in central eastern parts, but some low cloud, mist and fog along southern coasts and hills. Highs at 9 to 15C.

Wednesday 24/2/21
Low pressure west of Scotland on Wednesday. Cloud, mist and periods of rain across Ireland, Wales, Southwest England, Northwest England and southern Scotland. Tending to be dry through the Midlands, and eastern England although low cloud and drizzle affecting southern coast. Brighter in northern Scotland. Highs at 9 to 14C.

Thursday 25/2/21
A brighter day with some reasonable spells of sunshine for many areas. Some low cloud and drizzle may affect western coasts and hills. Best of the sunshine in the east. Highs around 8 to 12C.

Friday 26/2/21
High pressure builds over the UK and Ireland on Friday. This should bring a fair day with sunny spells. The risk of some low cloud in the far northwest of Scotland. Highs at 8 to 13C.
