Staying cold for most into this weekend but milder air sweeps across the country next week with significantly milder conditions expected for some southern and west areas towards the end of the week. Monday 15/02/21
A cloudy and damp start to the southeast corner of England before rain clears here through the morning. Drier elsewhere but it will be a rather misty and murky day generally with low cloud giving some possible drizzle, turning into possibly heavier outbreaks of rain across western Scotland and Wales as well as southern Engish coasts at times. Highs between 3 and 8C in the north and east while the south and west expect highs between 9 and 12C.

Tuesday 16/02/21
With low pressure in the west moving in it will be an increasingly cloudy and wet day on Tuesday.Expect heavier spells of rian for some southern and western areas through the day. The southwest of England, including Wales and Northern Ireland should improve through the afternoon with sunny spells developing but also some showers about. Highs at 3 to 7C across Scotland and northern England and 7 to 11C elsewhere.

Wednesday 17/02/21
A ridge of high pressure builds into the UK from the south on Wednesday. There is likely to be a fair amount of mist and some fog patches as well as low cloud early on. However, sunny spells will develop - the best of these across England and eastern Scotland. Always the risk of some drizzle and low cloud affecting western coast and hills. Highs at 7 to 11C.

Thursday 18/02/21
Currently, the weather pattern suggests a largely dry day for most but breezy yet mild. There is the risk of some heavier spells of rain for northwest Scotland and Northern Ireland as low pressure is to the northwest of the UK. Highs at 8 to 12C.

Friday 19/02/21
It is looking to remain dry across much of England and Wales with some sunny spells developing thanks to high pressure being close by. Further north and northwest, however, there is still the risk of some heavier spells of rain. Highs at a mild 9 to 13C.

Saturday 2/02/21
High pressure over the near continent looks to push closer towards the UK allowing for again another largely dry day, although the far north and northwest is more likely to see cloud and spells of rain as fronts ride up and over the high pressure. Still mild for all with high at 9 to 13C.
