Turning increasingly windy next week though mild.
High pressure remains dominant next week bringing plenty of dry conditions, although we do start to see winds picking up across the country towards the end of the week and rain move in at times. Becoming milder for all.

Monday 24/1/22 High pressure stays over the UK and Ireland on Monday. Fog in the morning in southern and central England and Wales may be slow to clear. Where it does clear it should be dry with a few bright spells. Thicker cloud Ireland, Northern Ireland and many regions of Scotland where there will be some patchy, lighter rain and drizzle in places. Highs at 5 to 9C, but colder where fog persists.
Tuesday 25/1/22 High pressure remains over the UK and Ireland for Tuesday. This brings a morning frost with some mist and fog too for much of England and Wales. The fog could be dense in places and may last through the day. It will clear from some areas with bright or sunny spells forming. Always more cloud and some drizzle for the north and west of Scotland where it is breezy as well as through western Ireland. Highs at 6 to 10C.
Wednesday 26/1/22 A dry day for most though turning increasingly windy, particularly so across the north and west. Cloud will thicken across Ireland, Northern Ireland and western Scotland as the day moves on with rain reaching these areas by the afternoon. Highs at 5 to 8C.
Thursday 27/1/22 Thursday starts cloudy and damp across the south and southeast of England and gradually clearing to see drier and brighter conditions. Elsewhere, expect frequent showers in the west blowing in on a brisk north-westerly wind. Plenty of dry and bright conditions centrally and further east. Highs at 6 to 9C.
Friday 28/1/22 Friday stays windy across Scotland where showers will merge in longer spells of rain, heavy at times, in the north and west. Drier further east. Staying breezy through England and Wales where it will be dry with sunny spells about. A relatively mild day for many with highs at 8 to 10C.
Saturday 29/1/22 A front will move southwards across Scotland into Northern Ireland and northern parts of England and Wales on Saturday. Drier further south and east. It continues to remain breezy and in places rather gusty. Highs at at a mild 8 to 11C.
