Sunday 30/1/22
It will start off chilly but quiet for many on Sunday, before an area of low pressure and associated fronts push eastwards across the country strengthening the winds too. Rain turning increasingly to sleet and snow over the higher ground across Northern Ireland, Scotland, northern England and Wales. Cloudy but mainly dry across central and southern England. Highs at 6 to 9C.

Monday 31/1/22
A chillier northwesterly flow easing back through Monday. Rain initially across north and east Scotland, northern parts of England, falling as snow mainly over higher ground with sleet possible to some lower levels. This gradually clearing northern and eastern counties. Showers continuing to push down through the Irish Sea, west Scotland as well as East Anglia. Drier elsewhere with sunshine. Highs at 5 to 8C.

Tuesday 1/2/22
A front passes southwards through Tuesday morning bringing low cloud and outbreaks of rain to many, perhaps some snow falling over higher ground, rain turning patchy further south. Brighter conditions but blustery showers behind. A windy day for all with gales in the north and west though mild with highs at 9 to 13C.

Wednesday 2/2/22
A cloudier day on Wednesday with rain and drizzle affecting western coasts and hills in the morning, the rain turning more persistent later. Drier further east. Breezy. Cooler across Scotland but staying mild further south with highs at 8 to 11C.

Thursday 3/2/22
Another front will move down the country on Thursday bringing cloud and spells of rain for a time to many. Brighter weather to follow though with showers, these wintry further north, these merging into longer spells of rain across eastern regions of Scotland. Still mild in the far south but cooler air moving in for many with highs only at 3 to 6C for most.

Friday 4/2/22
A largely dry and chilly start with frost and ice about. Cloud and rain, snow likely on the preceeding edge, will move in to western areas of Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland in the afternoon. Drier elsewhere. Winds will strengthen too. Highs at 4 to 7C.
