Dense fog patches for some

Largely dry and settled with mist and fog being the main problem currently. Some frosty starts to contend with too, particularly further south.

A morning frost is to be expected. Staying dry throughout though mist and fog will be around across particularly England and Wales. A brisker wind is expected across Northern Ireland and Scotland. Highs around 5 to 9C.

 
 
 

Tuesday 18/1/22
A frosty start in the south on Tuesday with some rather dense mist and fog across many parts of England and Wales at first. This will only slowly clear, but when it does a few bright spells will occur. Cloudier further north with outbreaks of rain pushing into Northern Ireland as well as western and central regions of Scotland, mostly dry further east here. A mild day for all with highs at 8 to 11C.

Wednesday 19/1/22
A cloudier day for many across England and Wales as a weak front sinks south down the country on Wednesday bringing patchy rain for a time to northern England and north Wales. Staying mostly dry further south to here. A mainly dry, bright and slightly cooler day across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Highs at 5 to 10C.

Thursday 20/1/22
A cooler day for many on Thursday. Largely dry and bright though some showers brushing eastern coasts of Scotland and England as well as affecting the far north of Scotland. Perhaps more cloud cover, mist and fog for western areas. Highs at 4 to 7C.

Friday 21/1/22
A frosty start to Friday for many and a chilly day is expected. There is a brisk wind through much of Scotland will bring up the wind chill factor here. Blustery showers through western parts of Scotland. Drier elsewhere with sunny spells though some mist and fog likely in the south and southwest. Highs at 4 to 7C.

Saturday 22/1/22
More cloud cover across Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland with some patchy light rain and drizzle affecting westernmost regions here. Drier elsewhere with some sunny spells but also mist and fog expected through parts of England and Wales. Highs at 6 to 9C further north and west, but struggling across central and southern England with highs here at around only 2 to 5C.
