Staying quiet through the week with much dry weather, some mist and fog

High pressure is going to be remaining in control of conditions through the course of today. These bring lots of dry weather although a risk of some mist and fog patches, especially in the south. Daytime temperatures will be around average although there may be some frosts overnight.

Friday 14/1/22
High pressure remains across Britain. More mist and fog patches for England and Wales and these slowly clearing for some. There may also be a fair amount of cloud around too with some drizzle on hills, most in western and northern Scotland. Highs at 7 to 9C.

 
 
 

Saturday 15/1/22
High pressure brings misty conditions again with some fog patches lingering throughout the day. Cloudier in Scotland with some spots of drizzle. Western coasts and hills will have some drizzle too. Highs at 6 to 9C.

Sunday 16/1/22
A breezier day in Scotland on Sunday where it will be cooler and brighter. Still some fog patches under high pressure in Wales and southwestern parts of the UK and Ireland. brighter for eastern England. Highs at 5 to 8C.

Monday 17/1/22
High pressure stays over the UK and Ireland. This is going to be bringing a north to northwest flow and brighter weather. A few showers in northern and eastern Scotland. Highs at 5 to 8C.

Tuesday 18/1/22
High pressure over the UK on Tuesday with mist and fog patches in England and Wales. These slowly lifting with a few bright or sunny spells developing. Thicker cloud in Ireland, some rain in western Ireland. Tops at 6 to 8C.

Wednesday 19/1/22
High pressure south of the UK on Wednesday bringing mist and fog patches. Further cloud and outbreaks of rain in northern and western Scotland as well as through Ireland. Highs at 6 to 10C.
