Thursday 13/1/22
High pressure stays to the south. Breezy with some drizzle in north and west Scotland. Dry for most other areas with a fair amount of cloud. The best of any brightness in northeast England. Some mist and fog in southern and central England and Wales. Highs at 9C in any sunshine, more generally 5 to 7C but locally up to 9 or 10C in northern Scotland under mild southwesterly winds here.

Friday 14/1/22
High pressure remains across Britain. More mist and fog patches for England and Wales and these slowly clearing for some. There may also be a fair amount of cloud around too with some drizzle on hills. More persistent rain in the far north of Scotland with drizzle across the Highlands. Highs at 5 to 7C, 9C in northwest Scotland.

Saturday 15/1/22
Mostly dry anc cool conditions again with mist and fog likely for many. A weak front will bring more cloud and some patchy rain to northern Scotland once again. Best chance for sunny spells across northeast England, perhaps many eastern coasts. Murky and damp around western coasts and hills elsewhere. Highs at 4 to 8C.

Sunday 16/1/22
A breezier day is likely for many, lifting the murky conditions to give brighter skies and sunny spells, these best toward the east and south. Strong winds in northern Scotland with showers, these of snow on the mountains as chillier air arrives here. Highs 5 to 9C.

Monday 17/1/22
West to northwesterly winds are likely, feeling chilly in the north, although the southwest may stay fairly mild. Periods of rain and hill snow for Scotland, a few showers for northern England and Ireland. Mainly dry in the south. Highs 4 to 10C.

Tuesday 18/1/22
High pressure lies toward the southwest. Cool and showery in the far northwest, wintry over the Scottish Highlands, but mainly dry across much of Britain and southern Ireland. Highs 4 to 10C.
