Plenty of dry weather and turning fresher, cool nights

High pressure is expected to be close to the UK and Ireland in the coming week. This brings below average amounts of rainfall and completely dry weather for many areas. Fresher weather arrives from the north and west next week before it turns cooler later with some showers in the east. Watch out for some cool nights.

Tuesday 4/9/18
A ridge of high pressure extends through the UK and Ireland on Tuesday bringing a cool start to the day. This brings a fair, fresh day to much of Sotland, Ireland, northern England and Wales. The remnants of a front affecting the far south of England. Highs around 22C in southern England, 16 to 19C elsewhere.

Wednesday 5/9/18
High pressure stays in control for the majority of the UK and Ireland on Wednesday. This should bring plenty of fair weather with good spells of sunshine after a chilly start. A low risk of some cloud in the far north of Scotland giving a spot of drizzle. Highs near 14C in northern Scotland, 22C in southern England.

 

Thursday 6/9/18
High pressure remains close to Ireland and Scotland on Thursday. There will be lots of dry weather and sunshine after a cool morning. The risk of some cloud affecting eastern coasts, perhaps giving a few showers here. Highs at 17 to 23C.

 
 
 

Friday 7/9/18
Another cool night under high pressure. Friday should be dry with good spells of sunshine for many. Eastern and southern areas of England as well as eastern Scotland as always at risk of seeing some low cloud. This breaks with sunny spells developing. best of the sunshine to the north and west. Temperatures at 15 to 20C.

Saturday 8/9/18
Lower pressure to the east on Saturday and this may bring some cloud and some light rain here. Drier in the west with sunny spells. Feeling chilly for all at 15 to 19C.

Sunday 9/9/18
Low pressure to the east with cloud and a few spots of rain over eastern areas. Drier in the west with sunny spells. Tops at 14 to 19C.
