Western drizzle this weekend then drier and fresher next week

Higher pressure remains in control of the weather in the coming week. Moist air to the west this weekend brings some low cloud and drizzle with milder air, becoming very warm in the south and east. The weather turns fresher into next week with many areas dry. An increasing northeast wind blos lower cloud into eastern and southern areas as the week progresses with a stiff breeze here too. Western areas seeing the best sunshine.

Monday 3/9/18
A cold front slipping south through the UK on Monday. This brings a band of cloud and outbreaks of showery rain through northeast England, the Midlands and Wales, most of the rain generally light. Staying fair across East Anglia and southeast England with some bright or sunny spells here as well as being warm. Fresher weather follows to Scotland and Ireland with long spells of sunshine too. Tops at 25C in southeast England, 15 to 18C elsewhere.


Tuesday 4/9/18
A ridge of high pressure extends through the UK and Ireland on Tuesday bringing a cool start to the day. This brings a fair, fresh day to much of Sotland, Ireland, northern England and Wales. The remnants of a front affecting East Anglia, the southern Midlands and southern England with more cloud and some showery spots of rain. Any rain tending to fade through the day. Breezy in southern England. Highs around 22C in southern England, 16 to 19C elsewhere.


Wednesday 5/9/18
High pressure stays in control for the majority of the UK and Ireland on Wednesday. This should bring plenty of fair weather with good spells of sunshine after a chilly start. Weak fronts may bring cloud and some patchy rain to northwest Scotland. Breezier through the far south of England but dry with sunny spells. Highs near 16 to 22C.
 


Thursday 6/9/18
High pressure remains close to Ireland on Thursday. There will be lots of dry weather and sunshine after a cool morning. The risk of some cloud affecting eastern coasts, perhaps giving a few showers here. Highs at 17 to 23C.


Friday 7/9/18
Another cool night under high pressure. Friday should be dry with good spells of sunshine for many. Eastern and southern areas of England as well as eastern Scotland as always at risk of seeing some low cloud. This breaks with sunny spells developing. best of the sunshine to the north and west. Temperatures at 18 to 23C.

Saturday 8/9/18
Pressure stays high on Saturday. Another fair day with good spells of sunshine, the best of them to the west. eastern and southern areas may again be prone to some low cloud and spots of drizzle. Tops near 17 to 23C.
