Tuesday
Showers this morning over western and southern areas with a brisk south to southwest wind for most. The best of any sunshine is going to be in more eastern parts, although this tending to be bright spells. The showers continue this afternoon, heaviest in the west and south, but some heavy ones passing through the Midlands too. Further showers for Ireland during the day, and these affecting western Scotland. Eastern Scotland and eastern England seeing fewer showers with many areas dry. Highs at 10 to 13C.

Tuesday Night
A breezy night for the north and west. It is here where there will be showers too, some of them heavy and mostly affecting windward facing coasts and hills. Further showersin western Ireland with the showers being heavy and frequent in northwest Scotland. Some showers too along southern coasts of England and Wales. More inland and eastern areas should be drier, although isolated showers are possible here. Lows at 7 to 10C.

Wednesday
Low pressure to the northwest of Scotland on Wednesday with a westerly flow affecting the country. There will be frequent showers affecting western coasts and hills, although a tendency for these to fade in western England and Wales in the afternoon, allowing sunny spells to develop here. Further showers affecting southern coasts of England, again these tending to ease. For more central and eastern areas the day will be dry with sunny spells. Highs at a mild 10 to 13C.

Thursday
High pressure building to the south of the country on Thursday. A strong southwest flow brings cloud and some drizzle to western coasts and hills. More persistent rain may affect western Scotland and western Ireland. Severe gales may trouble Scotland, Ireland and northern England. Good spells of sunshine for the rest of England and Wales, although always the risk of some drizzle along southern coasts. A mild day for all with highs at 14 to 17C.
