Persistent rain across SE
Chilly starts

Thursday
A slow moving front brings some heavy and persistent rain to southern and southeastern England through much of the day before clearing on Thursday. There is a risk of flooding in these areas. An area of heavy, possibly thundery, showers passing through Ireland and into Wales and southwest and northwest England. Further heavy showers in northern and western Scotland. Elsewhere the day should be drier with some sunny spells. Highs at 9 to 12C.


Thursday Night
Overnight, mist and fog will develop for some. Most places will stay dry though showers will pester many southern and western coastal areas, some pushing inland more too. Lows at a chilly 1 to 4C in the north and west, 5 to 8C across much of England.

 
 
 


Friday
After a chilly start in the north on Friday, low pressure to the north of Scotland brings showers to the west and north of Scotland, some of them heavy. Meanwhile, a ridge of high pressure builds across the British Isles during the day giving most areas a brighter, dry day with some good spells of sunshine. Highs around a cooler 9 to 12C for most.
 


Saturday
A chilly start for many on Saturday. A ridge of high pressure affecting the east and south at first bringing dry weather and some sunny spells. Meanhile a front will bring outbreaks of rain to Ireland, Northern Ireland and western Scotland, clearing here to see brighter and drier weather with the rain pushing eastwards. Highs at 9 to 14C.
