SE high rainfall totals

Friday

Expect cloudier skies and some showery rain to affect southeast England too for a time before this clears away to allow for a mostly dry and fine day as a ridge of high pressure builds in. Some showers though for the far north and northwest of Scotland. Highs at around a cool 8 to 13C.

Friday Night
Overnight, it will be largely dry with clear spells for many though cloud will thicken from the west later as rain advances eastwards across Northern Ireland then on across western parts of England, Scotland and throughout Wales by dawn. Lows at a chilly 2 to 6C, though a touch of frost is expected across more exposed areas in the north.

Saturday
A chilly start for many on Saturday. A wet and cloudy morning for many but rain soon clears from the west seeing drier and brighter weather behind, though some scattered showers too. Rain continues to affect the far SE of England through the afternoon. Highs at 9 to 14C, though cooler still for parts of Scotland.
