Thursday
Low pressure will be passing north through the country on Thursday. This brings heavy rain to many eastern areas of England and Scotland before rain becomes more widespread across Scotland and northern England through the day. Blustery with gales possible in places across the country. A few showers continuing along western and southern coasts otherwise drier and brighter elsewhere. Highs at 9 to 12C.


Thursday Night
Overnight, spells of heavy rain continue across Scotland into parts of northern England. Staying windy also. Elsewhere, scattered showers on to mostly western coasts and hills with clear spells. Lows at 4 to 9C though cooler in some more exposed areas.

 
 
 


Friday
A brighter day for many on Friday. Low pressure north of Scotland gives strong winds and some rain to western and northern Scotland in the morning, this clearing into the afternoon. Further showers in western Scotland as well as across most western regions of Ireland and the UK, though many staying largely dry and bright with some good spells of sunshine developing. A cooler day with highs at 8 to 11C.


Saturday
A mostly fair day as a ridge of high pressure builds over the country. There could be some mist and fog patches as well as a slight frost early on. The mist and fog patches slowly lifting to leave the day fair with sunny spells. Increasing wind and rain into Northern Ireland and Ireland in the afternoon, this reaching western parts of England, Wales and Scotland by evening. Highs at a chilly 7 to 10C.
