High pressure to the south of the country on Thursday with low pressure to the north. This brings a strong southwest wind flow through all areas. There will be cloud and drizzle affecting western coasts and hills. Largely dry but with limited sunshine elsewhere. Expect a windy day with gales to severe gales for many. Highs at a very mild 15 to 17C.
 


Thursday Night
Overnight, most places should remain dry though some rain pushes in across parts of Ireland, Northern Ireland as well as southern Scotland and northern regions of England. Still low cloud and drizzle to affect many western coasts and hills through Scotland, Wales and southwest England. Dry elsewhere but staying mostly cloudy. Lows at a very mild 11 to 15C.
 


Friday
Higher pressure continues to influence much of England and Wales on Friday with the centre of the high over continental Europe. A brighter day and very mild for most of England and Wales with sunny spells. Some drizzle may affect southwest coasts, western Wales and parts of northwest England. Cloudier skies and some rain in central and western Scotland and Ireland, most in the west. It is going to be a windy day in the north too with gales in Scotland and northern England. Highs at 14 to 18C.


Saturday
High pressure east of the country on Saturday with low pressure to the west. There may be some mist and fog in eastern areas at first, this clearing. Low cloud may affect southwest England, coasts of west Wales and the south and east of Ireland. Some rain in northwest Scotland and the far west of Ireland. Fair and very mild elsewhere. The best sunshine in eastern areas. Highs around 13 to 16C.
