Wednesday
Low pressure to the northwest of Scotland today. There will be showers affecting many western and southern coasts and hills, although these tending to ease into this afternoon, Most areas of England, Wales, southern and eastern Ireland as well as eastern Scotland should be dry and bright with some decent spells of sunshine. Windier in western Scotland and western Ireland with some drizzle and outbreaks of rain here. The rain heaviest in western Scotland. Highs at 11 to 15C.


Wednesday Night
A windy night for much of the country. There will be plenty of cloud and this brings drizzle to western and southern coasts and hills. More persistent rain in northern and western Scotland with outbreaks of rain in Ireland too. A mild night with lows at 9 to 13C.
 


Thursday
High pressure to the south of the country on Thursday with low pressure to the north. This brings a strong southwest flow through all areas. There will be cloud and drizzle affecting western coasts and hills of southwest England and Wales where there will also be severe gales. Tending to be drier in northeast England, although with gusts of 50mph here. Severe gales too for Ireland and Scotland with heavy rain in western Scotland but drizzle in western Ireland. Highs at a very mild 15 to 17C.


Friday
Higher pressure continues to influence much of England and Wales on Friday with the centre of the high over continental Europe. Bright and very mild for most of England and Wales with sunny spells. Some drizzle may affect southwest coasts, western Wales and parts of northwest England. Cloudier skies and some rain in central and western Scotland and Ireland, most in the west. It is going to be a windy day in the north too with gales in Scotland. Highs at 14 to 18C.
