Becoming very mild and drier after mid-week, but back to rain and wind later

An unsettled start to the week with wind and rain for many as low pressure remains in control. Conditions are likely to be turning drier as the week progresses and higher pressure builds to the eats and south of the British Isles. This brings some very mild air too, especially in the south and east. Things then less mild and wetter again early next week.

Thursday 10/11/22
High pressure building to the south of the country on Thursday. A strong southwest flow brings cloud and some drizzle to western coasts and hills. More persistent rain may affect western Scotland and western Ireland. Severe gales may trouble Scotland, Ireland and northern England. Good spells of sunshine for the rest of England and Wales, although always the risk of some drizzle along southern coasts. A mild day for all with highs at 14 to 17C.

Friday 11/11/22
Higher pressure continues to influence much of England and Wales on Friday. Bright and very mild here with sunny spells. Some drizzle may affect southwest coasts, western Wales and parts of northwest England. Cloudier skies and some rain in central and western Scotland and Ireland, most in the west. Highs at 14 to 17C.

Saturday 12/11/22
High pressure east of the country on Saturday with low pressure to the wes. There may be some mist and fog in eastern areas at first, this clearing. Low cloud may affect southwest England, coasts of west Wales and the south and east of Ireland. Some rain in northwest Scotland and the far west of Ireland. Fair and very mild elsewhere. The best sunshine in eastern areas. Highs around 13 to 17C.

Sunday 13/11/22
It may be a misty morning fog many with fog patches too. These only slowly clearing to leave a mostly dry day with broken cloud and some bright spells. Rain may drift into southwest England, Wales and Ireland later. Highs at 12 to 16C.

Monday 14/11/22
A more unsettled day with rain passing east on Monday. Some of the rain could be heavy at times and may linger for a while across southern England. Brighter skies with some showers following to western Scotland and Ireland. Highs at 11 to 15C.

Tuesday 15/11/10/22
Low pressure may bring severe gales and some heavy rain on Tuesday. The detail is uncertain at this stage. Highs at 10 to 14C.
