Cool and bright
Showers north & west

Tuesday
A cool day again with showers over northern and western coasts and hills. Drier away from these areas with the best of any sunny spells in more eastern and southern areas. The afternoon sees further showers over northern and western coasts and hills. Dry everywhere else with broken cloud and the best of the sunny spells again in the south. Ireland will have showers over the north and west too, but most areas staying dry, bright and cool. Highs at 9 to 11C.

Tuesday Night
A chilly night ahead. Clear spells developing inland although probably too much wind for all but a very slight frost to form in the most sheltered parts. Showers will be continuing around the coasts in the west and east. More persistent rain in northern Scotland, this falling as snow on the highest hills. Lows near 2 to 6C and feeling cold in the wind.

Wednesday
The northerly flow continues through Wednesday. High pressure to the west of Ireland and low pressure to the east. There will be some showers over western coasts of Ireland together with the west of Wales and southwest England. Further showers over eastern England too. Drier elsewhere with some bright or sunny spells coming through. Scattered showers in northern Scotland. Highs at 8 to 11C.

Thursday
High pressure remains west of Ireland on Thursday. A frontal system north of Scotland brings cloud here, and there could be some drizzle close to northern coasts. Showers may still affect southwest Wales and southwest England with further showers, some heavy over the coasts of eastern England, especially East Anglia. Drier elsewhere with the best sunshine to the south, but always more cloud in the north. Highs at a cool to cold 7 or 8C in Scotland, 11C in the far south of England.
