Very mild
Drizzle north & west

Thursday
High pressure to the south of the country through Thursday. Low pressure to the northwest of Scotland brings some cloud and drizzle to northern and western Scotland, a risk of some gales here too. Much drier elsewhere, some bright spells developing in the east but a fair amount of cloud in other areas. The afternoon stays much the same with some drizzle and stronger winds in northern and western Scotland, staying mostly dry to the south with some bright spells in the east. Highs at 11 to 14C.

Thursday Night
A mild night ahead with cloud again, most in the west. Some clearer skies in the east. A few spots of drizzle may affect western coasts. More persistent rain in northern and western parts of Scotland where it will be breezy too. Lows near 5 to 8C.

Friday
High pressure stays to the south of the country through Friday. This is going to be bringing some cloud but also dry weather. Early mist and fog patches should be clearing to leave the day fairly cloudy, although with a few brighter spells. More cloud in the north and west of Scotland where there could be some outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Rather misty in these areas as well. The best of the brightness in eastern parts. Highs at 9 to 14C and so remaining mild.

Saturday
During Saturday a cold front moves southwards through Scotland and Northern Ireland, eventually into northern England and Ireland by the evening but as little more than a band of a few showers by then. Brighter, colder weather follows to Scotland and Northern Ireland. Dry with some good spells of sunshine for most of England and Wales, staying very mild in the south. Highs at 9C in northern Scotland, 13C in southern England.
