Sunday
A quiet day for most places under fairly high pressure. A few showers may drift in from the North Sea on a northeasterly breeze across East Anglia and Kent. A warm front over western Scotland brings a lot of cloud, plus drizzle in places. Fairly cloudy for western England and Wales, also Ireland. Brighter in central and eastern areas of England, but some morning fog. Steadier rain developing for the far west of Scotland with a brisk southwesterly wind here. Highs 10 to 13C.


Sunday night
Rain moves across most of Scotland and Ireland overnight as a cold front advances eastwards. Heaviest rain over hills in the west. Rain clears for northwest Scotland before dawn on Monday. Staying dry across England and Wales, with varied areas of cloud and fog forming, perhaps extensive fog developing for central and eastern areas Breezy around western coasts, otherwise little wind.


Monday
A slack high pressure pattern exists across the British Isles, whilst a weakening cold front drifts slowly southwards. Low cloud, drizzle or some steadier rain for a time for northern England, west Wales and perhaps southwest Scotland at first. Fairly cloudy for much of Wales. Brighter further south and east across England with some sun, but areas of morning fog. Much of Scotland and Ireland will see bright or sunny spells. Mostly little wind. Highs 9 to 13C.


Tuesday
High pressure influences southern Britain whilst low pressure lies to the north. Remnants of a weak front over England & Wales brings variable cloud, perhaps a little drizzle over western hills. Some sun toward the southeast. Light winds for central and southern areas. Local morning fog patches. Breezier across northern regions, southwesterly winds bringing rain to western Scotland. Fairly mild, highs 10 to 13C.
