Low pressure over northern Scotland brings a mixed and cool day to all parts of the UK and Ireland. It is going to be windy, especially in Ireland, wales and England. Rain affecting northern Scotland for much of the day, showers in the south. Sunshine will be limited here too. Showers over western parts of England and Wales,l some of these could be heavy and persistent in northwest England and western Ireland. Best of any sunshine in central and eastern parts of England as the wind eases towards evening. Highs at 9 to 11C for most, but to 13C in the southeast.

Monday Night
A cool night as cloud beaks for many. There will be further showers drifting onto western and southern coasts and hills, the showers along southern coasts probably being the most frequent. probably more cloud in southern England too. Further showers in northern and western Scotland as well as the north and west coast of Ireland. A touch of ground from in some sheltered central and eastern areas, lows typically 2 to 5C.

Tuesday
Low pressure remains to the northeast of Scotland on Tuesday. This brings a cool northwest flow through all areas. There will be some showers, mostly around northern and western coasts and hills, and it is here where there will be most cloud too. Some more widespread cloud and patchy rain may affect northeast Scotland, with some heavier showers into western Ireland and western parts of Wales. Best of the sunshine in more eastern and central areas. Light to moderate winds with highs at a cool 9 to 12C.

Wednesday
A northerly wind across the British Isles through Wednesday, making for another cool day. Cloudier skies in Scotland and much of Ireland as well as northern England. Some showers or outbreaks of rain here too, the heaviest of them in northern and western areas of Ireland. Probably turning brighter in central and northern Scotland. Some sunny spells and mostly dry for the rest of England and Wales, the best sunshine in the south. Highs at 7C in northern Scotland, 11C in southern England.
