Warm for many

Sunday
Sunday should be an improved day for many with more seeing dry weather conditions as well as warm sunny spells, though still with the risk of a few developing heavy showers about, particularly further east. Meanwhile, cloud thickens in advance of outbreaks of rain affecting western Ireland later in the day. Humid and warm for many with highs at 14 to 20C.

Sunday night
Cloud thickens and rain advances eastwards overnight, falling heavy in places for a time before largely clearing much of western Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland by dawn. SE England staying dry until Sunday morning. A relatively mild night with lows at 8 to 11C.

Monday
A cloudy and wet start for many on Monday with spells of rain, some heavy and persistent for a time, before clearing from the west. Sunny spells developing across Ireland and Northern Ireland early on where temperatures will rise, with more places becoming drier and brighter through the day as the rain clears eastwards. Though there will be still some showers about as well as longer spells of rain. Highs 14 to 20C.

Tuesday
A weak ridge of high pressure is over the country on Tuesday. Many places will be dry with sunny spells, but there are also showers about and developing more widely through the day. Possible longer spells of rain develop across southern England later. Highs 12 to 18C.
