A bright morning for many with broken cloud and sunny spells. More cloud in Scotland with some patchy rain in western parts of Scotland but dry for most. The afternoon remains dry with sunny spells, the best of the sunshine in southern and western areas of England and Wales. Cloud increasing in Scotland, a few spots of drizzle and rain over central and western Scotland. Highs at a cold 11C in northern Scotland, 17C in southern England.


Tuesday Night
Patchy drizzle in northwest Scotland. Plenty of cloud through northern England and Ireland. Dry in other areas with cloud bing broken in central and southern areas of England and Wales. Lows at a chilly 2 to 5C.

 
 
 


Wednesday
Pressure remains high for most of the country on Wednesday. Most areas will be dry with sunny spells and these continue into the afternoon. Scattered showers developing in East Anglia and the southeast. More cloud for Scotland and windy in the far north of Scotland with rain affecting central and northern areas, some of them heavy. Dry in southern Scotland, northern England and Ireland with broken cloud and bright or sunny spells here. Highs near 12C in northwest Scotland, 18C in southern England.


Thursday
High pressure east of the country through Thursday. Broken cloud and sunny spells, the best of the sunshine in southern and eastern areas. A cold front approaches western Ireland bringing some patchy rain here. A risk of some drizzle and patchy rain in northern and northwestern Scotland. Low cloud afecting the hills and coast here too. Highs at 13C in northwest Scotland but more widely 17 to 19C in sunshine.
