UK Forecast - May 02, 2023
Largely dry midweek
Mixed by Thursday

Wednesday
High pressure centred toward the north and east brings dry weather for most with some sunny intervals but also plenty of cloud. High cloud fairly extensive for Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland though bright spells are expected through the day here too. A weak front toward the northwest brings a little rain or drizzle for parts of Scotland, more so the northern region later in the day. A south-easterly breeze will freshen, strongest near the English Channel and southern Irish Sea. Feeling cool in the east, warmest in the west. Highs at 11 to 17C.

Wednesday night
Patchy rain continues to affect northern Scotland overnight into Thursday morning, while spells of heavier rain move in across Cornwall and the far southwest of Ireland. Dry elsewhere with variable cloud cover. Lows at 3 to 7C.

Thursday
A strong southeasterly wind for all regions with high pressure to the north and low pressure to the southwest. Most will stay dry with hazy sunshine, though thicker cloud with rain developing from the south pushing north across Ireland, Wales and western parts of England with some heavier bursts expected in places. Highs at 12 to 19C.

Friday
More mixed conditions overall with areas of rain pushing northwards through England into Scotland. Clusters of heavy showers breaking out across much of England, Wales and Ireland. Fairly cloudy, limited sun. Drier with some sunshine in northwest Scotland. Light winds in the south, an easterly breeze in the north. Humid in the south, fresher in the north. Highs ranging from 11 to 19C.
