Heavy, thundery showers
Rain west tonight

Tuesday
Plenty of cloud around this morning. There will be some sunny spells here and there, but rain in Orkney and the far northeast of Scotland. Some heavy showers quickly developing over Wales and southwest England as well as Ireland. The heavy showers then moving through the Midlands, Wales and southern England, some of them thundery and reaching east Anglia and southeast England this afternoon. Becoming drier in Wales and western England with good sunny spells. Cloud increasing through Ireland bringing rain here later. Highs at 14 to 18C.


Tuesday Night
Showers clearing East Anglia and southeast England this evening. Becoming drier for most with some mist and fog patches forming by morning in Scotland. An area of cloud and rain affecting Ireland, this reaching western parts of Scotland, Wales and southwest England later. Lows at 9 to 12C.
 


Wednesday
Low pressure west of Scotland on Wednesday. Fronts bringing cloud and some outbreaks of rain to Ireland and western Scotland. The rest of Scotland, England and Wales will be having a mix of sunshine and showers. The showers could be heavy and thundery at times with a risk of hail. Most of the showers are likely over central and eastern areas. Highs at 13 to 15C.
 


Thursday
The area of low pressure slips south through the British Isles on Thursday. Broken cloud and some showers in the morning especially through eastern Scotland, eastern and southern England and Wales. The showers turning heavier and thundery into the afternoon across much of England, Wales and southern Scotland as well as eastern Ireland. Probably drier and brighter for much of central and northern Scotland as well as western Ireland. A mild day at 14 to 17C.
