Very warm

Cloudier, some rain far north-west

Good morning,

High pressure influences most of Britain today, whilst low pressure lies over the north Atlantic to the north-west. Fair weather and light winds for most places.

Lots of sunshine across the country, hazy at times due to high cloud. Sea breezes will keep coasts fresher than inland, otherwise it is another warm and humid day.

Fronts encroach into western Scotland and Ireland, producing thickening cloud and patchy rain or drizzle here, becoming more persistent for the West Highlands by evening.

Today's top temperatures 27 to 30C in central & south-east England, locally warmer around London. Highs 22 to 25C for Wales, the north & west of England. 19 to 22C for Scotland and Northern Ireland, but nearer 15C in western Scotland.

Have a great day.
Garry
