Morning Call - August 03, 2018
Hot central & south-east England
Cloudy, patchy rain north

Issued: 0530hrs Friday 3rd August 2018
Duty forecaster: Garry Nicholson

Risk of local heavy showers north-east

Good morning,

High pressure is centred south-west of Britain today. A fair, very warm and humid day for southern regions, with sunshine most extensive in the south-east.

A weakening front lies across northern England and Scotland, producing grey skies and patchy rain, plus a risk of local heavy showers toward the north-east, perhaps an isolated thunderstorm.

Winds will be generally light; westerly in the north, variable with sea breezes in the south.

Today's top temperatures will climb above 30C in south-east England. 25 to 28C for central England. 20 to 23C in the north and west of Britain and across Ireland, locally cooler where rain lingers.

Have a great day.
Garry
