Morning Call - August 08, 2018
Showers in the west
Dry but fresher in the east

Issued: 0530hrs Wednesday 8th August 2018
Duty forecaster: Simon Keeling

Showers moving across western areas.

Good morning,

A fine, dry day for the east and south with some sunshine, the best of this early in the day before high cloud starts to encroach. A much fresher feel after the recently-renewed hot spell. Showers in the west of Scotland and Ireland will move east across Scotland, Northwest England, Wales and the Southwest, perhaps reaching the Midlands, one or two becoming heavy. There will be sunny intervals, however,

Highest temperatures today in the range 15 to 18C in western areas and, while reaching a respectably warm 21 to 25C in the east and southeast, these values are considerably down on recent days.
