Downpours eastern England
Bright & breezy south-west

Leftovers of Sunday's weather lingering into Monday

Good morning,

A broad area of low pressure over the North Sea will drift slowly eastwards today, allowing pressure to build a little from the south-west across Britain.

Often dry for Wales, south-west England and across Ireland, with bright skies and plenty of sunshine, just a chance of brief showers. A fresh breeze around coasts.

Patchy rain across Scotland should fade, although drizzly showers may linger in the West Highlands. Eastern Scotland becoming brighter. Light and variable winds.

The remnants of Sunday's weather system leaves areas of rain for northern and eastern England. Thundery showers are likely to break out across eastern England, locally merging to give rain for several hours.

Today's top temperatures rising to a humid 24C in any brighter spells for eastern England, otherwise nearer 18 to 21C, or just 14C in north-west Scotland.

Have a great day.
Garry
