Dull and damp west
Dry south & east

Breezy but quite humid; a lot of cloud

Good morning,

Western areas will see dull conditions with rain or drizzle today, wettest for west & south-west Scotland. Eastern regions, the Midlands and southern England should stay largely dry, but fairly cloudy. Some sun, mostly in the east.

An area of low pressure moves in from the Atlantic later, crossing Ireland by evening, bringing a spell of heavy rain, which spreads across northern England and southern Scotland overnight and into Sunday morning.

A southwesterly breeze for most areas, strongest around western coasts, and also the far north of Scotland in the morning, near-gale for Shetland & Orkney. Winds will strengthen in south-west England & west Wales into the evening and night.

Today's top temperatures will reach a fairly humid 22 to 24C in central-eastern England, 19 to 22C for Wales and the south-west, also Ireland. Reaching 20C in eastern Scotland, but only 14C in the West Highlands.

Have a great day.
Garry
