Thundery rain and very warm, staying warm into next week too

A warm and sometimes hot spell of weather through the coming week. Thundery rain may be heavy at times, especially at the weekend, although there is uncertainty over where wil see most of the rain. Staying warm into next week.

Friday 26/7/19
Low pressure remains west of Ireland on Friday. A mix of sunshine and showers in Ireland and breezy too. Broken cloud, the best of the sunshine in the east of the UK, although some showery spots of drizzle on Wales and southwest England. There is a risk of some thundery showers affecting eastern parts of East Anglia and the southeast later. Otherwise it remains muggy and bright. Highs at 30C in eastern areas, 21C in the west.

Saturday 27/7/19
An area of low pressure brings heavy, thundery rain across much of Scotland, northern, central and eastern England on Saturday. It will be drier to the west, although isolated showers may affect western Ireland. Highs at 17 to 24C.

 
 
 

Sunday 28/7/19
Thundery rain may continue across much of northern, central and eastern England as well as southern and western Scotland on Sunday. Drier and brighter in Ireland, west Wales and southwest England. Highs at 19C in Ireland, 25C in southern England.

 
 
 

Monday 29/7/19
A further area of low pressure is expected southwest of Ireland on Monday. This brings rain into the south and west of Ireland as well as the far southwest of England. A further area of rain in central and northern Scotland. Drier elsewhere with sunny spells and warm. Highs at 18 to 26C.

Tuesday 30/7/19
Little changes on Tuesday with low pressure over Ireland. This brings outbreaks of rain across much of Ireland and the western UK. Eastern areas are likely to be drier and brighter with sunny spells. Highs at 19 to 22C in the west but to 27C in eastern England.

Wednesday 31/7/19
Low pressure over the UK bringing more mixed conditions. There will be sunshine and showers, some of them heavy at times. Highs at 17 to 24C.
