Chilly days ahead, frequent showers, then tending to turn drier before being stormy and wet at the weekend

Cold weather for the next few days with some heavy showers on Wednesday too. A slight frost affecting some areas into the early hours of Thursday and Friday morning before the weather turns weter and windier for Saturday when severe gales may affect Scotland. Conditions are then mixed into the end of the weekend and next week, although staying mostly dry in the south and southeast.

Friday 5/11/21
The ridge is maintained over most of the country. It will bring with it a dry day with the best of any sunny spells in the far south. A frost may affect western and northern parts of England. Other areas are likely to be cloudier, this being more so further north. The thickest of the cloud reserved for western and northern Scotland as well as the far west of Ireland where there will be some spots of drizzle. Highs at 9 to 12C.

Saturday 6/11/21
Low pressure to the north of Scotland on Saturday. Rain and gales, some of them severe affecting much of Scotland and Northern Ireland. Rain in Scotland and Ireland too, this reaching northwest England. Bursts too for western Wales and southwest England. Drier in central and eastern areas of England and Wales bur breezy for all. Highs at 9 to 12C.
 

Sunday 7/11/21
A ridge of high pressure builds for Sunday bringing drier weather, but also a fair amount of cloud in northern and western Scotland. Winds will b much ligher. There could be some outbreaks of rain in the far north of Scotland. A few brighter spells to the south. Highs at 8 to 11C.

Monday 8/11/21
A front moving south is expected to bring some rain to Scotland, northern England, and Ireland on Monday. Drier in southern and central England with some bright or sunny spells. Windy in the north and west. Highs at 13C in southern England, 8C in northern Scotland.

Tuesday 9/11/21
Outbreaks of rain for some through Tuesday. Most of the rain across western parts of Scotland and Ireland. Dry for the rest of the British Isles. The best of the sunshine will be in more eastern and southern areas. Highs at 8C in northern Scotland, 12C in southern England.

Wednesday 10/11/21
Rain through southern Scotland and parts of Ireland as well as western Wales on Wednesday. Dry for most of the rest of England and Wales. Some showers and brighter for western Scotland. Highs at 10 to 13C.
