Windy and cloud, damp in the northern and west

Good morning,

It's a cloudy and windy day ahead of us today. There will be some periods of rain, mostly in northern England, Wales and western parts of England through this morning. This area of rain slipping south into this afternoon although weakening all the time and producing northern more than light rain overall.
 

Plenty of cloud in western Scotland too with periods of rain here. Drier fr eastern Scotland where some holes in the cloud will allow for some bright or sunny spells toi be breaking through. Turning brighter in Ireland, although still with some showers. A few bright spells in northern England late this afternoon too. The winds should be easing later.
