An area of heavy rain and snow affects northwestern parts of the UK while wintry showers affect western coasts of Ireland, England and Wales. Gales affect central parts of the UK and northern parts of Ireland too though these tend to ease through the day. Another area of heavy rain spreads into southwestern parts of the UK later.

A band of heavy rain and snow affects western and southern parts of Scotland through Sunday morning while showers, some wintry, spread to most parts of Ireland. Wintry showers too for England and Wales but these mostly confined to western coasts and hills here. Strong winds over northern parts of Ireland and England as well as southern Scotland. Drier and brighter to the east.


Snow edges northwards across Scotland through the afternoon while mixed showers continue to affect western parts of Ireland, England and Wales. Winds stay strong over northern parts of Ireland and western Scotland. Staying drier and brighter to the east. Later in the afternoon an area of heavy rain moves into southwestern parts of England and southern Wales. This is accompanied by strong, gusty winds.


Rain spreads eastward into central-southern England through the evening while wintry showers persist for western parts of Ireland and Scotland. Gusty winds accompany the rain over southern England while strong winds persist for western Scotland.
